The Applied Molecular Spectroscopy and Remote Sensing Group at the Lund Laser Centre is pursuing a diversified program of research, based on almost 40 years of experience in the field. We are an applied group in the sense that we work rubber boots rather than lab coats and try to adapt optical technology to capture the world in situ / in vivo rather than to fit the world in optical technology. We have optical capabilities for quantifying constituent ranging from molecules, to particulates to organisms. Our measurement scenarios ranges from microscopic, to macroscopic to entire landscapes. Our work in interdisciplinary and interfaces to ecology, biology, public health, pollution, combustion, food safety and medical diagnostics.
